Clifford and Bernice made everyone welcome in their home. Curtis, my first husband, loved them and they loved him. Buckly and Curtis were best friends through high school and life.
I knew Clifford and Bernice since I was a little girl and as a teenager was at their home many, many times. Beverly and I became friends and I was in her wedding. One of my greatest memories are the stories Clifford would tell – always with that precious smile – Bucky inherited that smile.
I asked him to tell me stories about Curtis so I could share them with my kids who wanted to know more about when their dad was younger. Our two youngest were 12 and 4 years of age when Curtis died.
Clifford had such a sweet and funny way of telling his story and even in his 90’s his mind and memory was sharp.Truly, Clifford is one who influenced many people who were privileged to know and love him.
His was a life well lived.

My husband and I went to church with Clifford for many years and still got to see him in church every time he was able to come. I can not be out tonight due to knee problems but loved the family and he is such a Christain man. God Bless each of you.

I am sorry for your loss. I didn’t know your dad that well. My memories of his are that he was a jolly person. He always had a smile and a twinkle in his eye.
