Funeral services for Dalton Ray Earls, 26, Mountain View, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 26, 2023, in the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Dalton passed away at 9:45 a.m., Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at his parent’s home in Pomona, Missouri.
He was born February 16, 1997, at West Plains, Missouri, to Leland Ray Earls and Angela Christine Surface Earls. Dalton graduated in the top ten of the 2015 Willow Springs High School graduating class. He received his Associates and Bachelor’s degrees in nursing from MSU, West Plains. Dalton was currently working on his Master’s degree from Chamberlain University. He loved nursing, and it showed in how he cared for his patients. Dalton enjoyed hunting, going to the river, horseback riding and being with his family and friends. He always enjoyed travelling out west and had big dreams of one day opening his own medical practice in Montana.
He is survived by his parents, Leland and Angela Earls, Pomona, Missouri; four sisters, Kendra Smith and husband, Blake, Pomona, Missouri, Dedra Earls, Pomona, Missouri, Alexa Hocking and husband, David, Pomona, Missouri and Erika Newberry and husband, Keegan, Willow Springs, Missouri; Dalton was the proud uncle of one baby nephew, Wade Smith; his maternal grandparents, Gayle and Edith Surface, Pomona, Missouri; many loving aunts, uncles and cousins; and lots of nursing friends.
His paternal grandparents, Jerry and Shirley Earls and one infant niece, Brooklyn Lexlee Smith preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, in the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elk Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Elk Creek Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO 65775.

Dalton, You have touched so many lives. I do not think you realize how many lives you have touched. Thankful that you have a healthy body now, and free of pain. We love you so much Dalton! You will forever be special and dear to everyone that knew you. Prayers for all of your family and your friends. This is not goodbye, it is we will see you later Bubby!! My deepest sympathy to all of you. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Dalton was a joy to work with and to know. He will be missed. All I can picture is him looking down on us from heaven and saying, “Don’t cry. I’m no longer in pain and it’s beautiful here.” Soar high my friend. You will always hold a special place in my heart. ‘Til we meet again my friend…..
