Dean Boze
Funeral services for Dean Boze, 78, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Lloyd Dean Boze went home in the arms of the Angels on April 27, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. surrounded by his family.
He was born May 10, 1940, at Couch, Missouri, to George Lee Boze and Opal Evelyn Ehrhardt Boze. Dean graduated from Koshkonong High School at the age of 16. He joined the Army at 17 years of age and served his country in Korea from 1958-1961. He returned home to Koshkonong, Missouri after being Honorably discharged and set out to marry his “DoLou”. Dean was united in marriage to the love of his life, Mary Lou Anderson on April 8, 1962 at the Riverton Baptist Church, Alton, Missouri. To this union were born a son, Michael Dean and a daughter, Cheryl Lynn. Dean was saved several years ago and knew the Lord well. He was a member of the Davis Creek Church West Plains, Missouri. A kinder and gentler man you will never find. His chronic pain and illnesses over the years may have physically kept him from attending but it never kept him from loving the Lord. His very essence was “do unto others as you would have God do unto you.” Dean would give or share anything he had with anyone who asked without thought as to whether he would get it back. His family was very important to him.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Lou Anderson Boze; son Michael and wife, Jennifer and their children Carly, husband, Scott, Caitlyn, Logan, Lacey, Luke, Zeke and Charlie Boze; daughter Cheryl “Muffitt” Boze Hall and husband, Tom and their children Hannah, husband, Trevor, Ian, Daniel, Mary Grace, George and Ralph Hall. Dean is also survived by two great step-grandchildren, Hayden and Hunter Parrish; his two siblings, Floyd Boze and wife, Maxine and James “Jim” Boze and wife, Wilma. He will be missed by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Dean has joined his parents George and Opal, various aunts, uncles and his grandparents in Heaven.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Timothy 4:7
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Howell Valley Cemetery. Afterwards, there will be a luncheon at the United Freewill Baptist Church, 607 Lanton Road, West Plains, Missouri. All are welcome to share in Dean’s Celebration of Life on Earth. So sorry for your loss. I worked with Dean and had the experience of attending a college class with him. That was quite an adventure. After I left Eaton I didn’t see him much but always enjoyed catching up when I did see him.

Mary, I can’t begin to tell you how sad this makes me. I have said to myself so many times that I need to go and visit Dean and Mary. I guess that I didn’t think that my time would run out. I love you both and my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. Dean, you will be missed.

We received a call Saturday that Dean had gone to be with the Lord that morning. We were saddened but not as for those that have no hope for we knew of Deans saving faith. Dean was a very special person to Eleanor and me. I enjoyed so much working with him in the adult class in ag and as a young farmer. We developed a special bond and friendship and continued our visits and fellowship as conditions allowed. We will be praying for comfort for Mary and family. Dean was humble but a great man for that is the first requirement of God is to recognize you are a sinner and to humble yourself and get forgiveness . Hence the greatness of a good life. I have a friend here in Wyoming that never says goodbye after a visit. He says, ” later” because he plans to see you again. So Dean, my friend. ” later.”
