Doris Flo Tackett
Funeral services for Doris Flo Tackett, 82, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2018 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tackett passed away at 3:15 a.m., Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Ozarks Medical Center.
She was born September 23, 1935, at Crider, Missouri, to Grover Cleveland Fox and Artie Eve Fox. On February 19, 1955, she was married at West Plains, Missouri, to James Freeman Tackett, who preceded her in death on August 5, 2015. Before her retirement, Mrs. Tackett worked at Wal-Mart. She was a great cook and enjoyed canning, gardening, hunting and fishing. Her greatest joy was her family; she especially treasured the time she spent with her grandson. Mrs. Tackett was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Hollingshad and husband, Hershel, West Plains, Missouri; one grandson, Regan Tackett and fiance’ Leanne Peterson, Huntsville, Alabama; two brothers, Glen Fox and wife, RaeDene, Filer, Idaho and Elvis Fox, Ozark, Missouri; one sister, Dorothy Stubbs and husband, Wayne, West Plains, Missouri; three sisters-in-law, Freda Bean, Roberta Todd and Fay Fox; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, one son, Reggie, three sisters, Katherine, Maxine, Ivene and two brothers, Arthur and Amel, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Ledbetter Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Ledbetter Cemetery and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
