I taught several years with Dottie at Wood Junior High at Fort Leonard Wood. She was a dear friend and loved by all who knew her. She loved teaching and she loved her students. They did become her kids. Always a smile, always positive, we had a ball together. Fly high, my sweet friend. Rest easy. Luge Hardman

Dottie was like a sister, best friend and the best crazy cousin I have ever had. So many good times here in West Plains and down in Texas. My life has been made better with her in it. My heart is empty by her passing.
I love her dearly.
God has her in His arms now.
Love you Dottie.

Dottie, my friend, you have always, and I mean always, been the sweetest person, one who loved life and loved a good laugh. Such a beautiful soul. It hurts my heart realizing the last text was the last. So hard to believe you are gone. I remember growing up at church, us girls, your mom and my mom and I can still see your brother’s handsome face. So much happens along the years and across the miles but you, I will never forget you. Thank you for always being the same sweet Dottie.

I will miss you Dottie. Although we lived miles apart, we managed to stay in touch for fifty years. If I was ever in doubt, you were just a phone call away. Kind, fun, a forever friend…..rest in peace.
