Dwight Clayton Turner
Graveside services for Dwight Clayton Turner, 88, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 31, 2017 at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Olden, Missouri, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Turner passed away at 10:54 a.m., Monday, March 27, 2017 at West Vue Nursing Center.
He was born April 27, 1928, at Olden, Missouri, to Hiriam Turner and Ila Fine Turner. On January 25, 1953, he was married at Salem, Arkansas, to Bonnie Gay Cook, who preceded him in death on May 8, 2004. Mr. Turner was a veteran, having served with the United States Army during the Korean conflict. Before his retirement he was a heavy equipment operator for Adams Construction Company, Stewart Brothers Construction Company and the City of West Plains. Mr. Turner enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting.
He is survived by one daughter, Marcia Robson; three grandchildren, Melissa Gilbreath and husband, Bentley, Colter Robson and wife, Amanda and Lauren Jones and husband, Damon; two great-grandchildren, Bailey Verity-Gilbreath and Maddison Jones; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, wife, one son, David Glen Turner, one brother and three sisters, precede him in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to West Vue Nursing Center’s Activities Fund and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Marcia, sorry to hear about your dad. My dad thought a lot of your mom and dad both. They had some really good times at music parties and different events. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sorry to hear about Dwight. We had a lot of good visits on the phone. He was my Mother Bernadean’s last living cousin on the Byers and Turner side.
