E. Wayne Calhoun
A Celebration of Life Service for E. Wayne Calhoun, 72, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Mt. Zion Lodge #327, West Plains, Missouri.
Mr. Calhoun passed away at 8:58 a.m., Monday, July 15, 2019 at Texas County Memorial Hospital, Houston, Missouri.
He was born October 1, 1946, at South Haven, Michigan, to Earl Calhoun and Mary Francis Belle Higgs Calhoun. On July 15, 1966, he was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Linda Gleason. Mr. Calhoun was a veteran, having served with the United States Navy. He worked as a staking engineer at Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative, Inc. until his retirement in 2011. Wayne loved music, but not as much as he loved his family. Mr. Calhoun was a member of Mt. Zion Lodge #327 A.F. and A.M , Scottish Rites Valley of Joplin and Abou Ben Adhem Shrine AAONMS, Springfield, Missouri; he was the District Deputy Grand Master of District #42 of Grand Lodge of Missouri. Mr. Calhoun was a Christian and was proud to serve his Lord. Wayne never allowed anything to come before helping others, even when it was a hobby of his.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Calhoun; two children, Lenna Calhoun and Lonnie Calhoun; five grandchildren, Megan, Ruben, Kevin, Danielle and Samantha; three great-grandchildren, Zaiden, Raelynn and Drake; his mother, Belle Calhoun; one brother, Coy Calhoun and wife, Carolyn; one sister, Laney Ledwa; and numerous nieces and nephews that were just as special to him as his kids.
His father and one sister, Juanita Jones, preceded him in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to Masonic Home of Missouri or Shriners Hospitals for Children and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Sam,
I am so saddened to hear of Wayne,s passing. I want you to know that he will always be with me, for as long as I live. I just wish I could have done as good of a job as the District Deputy as Wayne has done.
Remember to call me if you need anything.

Linda, I am so sorry to hear of Wayne’s passing. I use to work with Wayne many years ago, and he was always pleasant, and had a great smile. He will be missed. If I can do anything for you Linda, you know where to find me. Hugs to one of my walky talky friends from the Civic Center.

Sam and family, we are so sorry about Wayne’s Home going. He has been missed at the office but we always looked forward to see you both at the dinners. He always had a smile on his face and a encouraging word. He loved playing with the kids when they were there and always had a piece of candy for them. We are so thankful that we have a HOPE that we will see him again. We love you and are praying for you. The Crider’s.
