So sorry to hear about Ed. I met you both back in the 1970’s and though we never spent a lot of time together I got to know him though his funny “E” mails and the pictures of the animals he loved and took care of. I’m sure he will be remembered by many and missed also.

I’m so very sorry to hear about Mr. Dawson’s passing. He leaves behind a great testament to what a good man and father he must have been, as his son Brad Dawson is one of the kindest, dearest and smartest people I know.

Ms. Donna,
I am grieved to hear of the passing of Ed. I knew him as Neddie. I am his cousin from Memphis. You may have known my brother Jack since he is closer to Ed’s age. I was just a child when you were married.
Death is not extinguishing the light; it is only putting out the lamp because the dawn has come.

Dear Robert,
I can’t tell you how happy I am to get your comments. I’m Ed’s daughter and on my to do list was finding a contact for your side of the family. As we’re going through things, we’re finding photos that I believe your family would love to have that belonged to Lucy. My email address is [email protected] – please write me there and give me an address where these items can be sent. I hope they will bring you as much joy as we’ve had going through them.
Sincerely,
Connie

Donna, we were so sorry to hear about Eddie. We were just down on Tuesday to check the house, but had to hurry back home. Regret we did not stop. Our prayers are with you and your family.

Donna,
So sad to hear of Ed’s passing. I lived in West Plains from 1995-1999, and met Eddie at the West Plains Country Club. He welcomed me into his band of merry golfers, despite my status of a Yankee liberal! He hosted me at your house for a steak dinner, with a wonderful evening spent watching the hoards of hummingbirds feeding! When I moved back to the West Coast, Ed continued to favor me with photos of the deer and hummingbirds. We laughed through cheesy political jokes via email.
Ed is remembered and missed.
