Eldon P. Hudlow

Funeral services for Eldon Paul Hudlow, 78, Pottersville, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 15, 2012, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. 

Mr. Hudlow died at 10:00 p.m., Thursday, April 12, 2012, at his home.  He was born March 17, 1934, at Pottersville, Missouri to the late Edward Mitchell Hudlow and Clella A. May Hudlow. 

On February 4, 1956, he was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Rosalie Collins.  Before his retirement, Mr. Hudlow had worked at Amyx Manufacturing for over forty years.  He was a long time member of West Plains Wagon Club.  Mr. Hudlow loved spending time with his family and enjoyed cutting wood, doing woodwork, building wagons, singing, playing guitar, coon hunting, trading and bluegrass music.  He was known for his words of wisdom, great advice and jolly nature.  Mr. Hudlow never met a stranger and would help anyone in need.  He was almost never seen without his thermos full of coffee and a smile on his face.  Mr. Hudlow was a long time member of Crider Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Rosalie Hudlow, of the family home; two grandchildren, Delbert Smith, wife, Katie, Thayer, Missouri and Casey Cleveland, husband, Jeremy, Caulfield, Missouri; six great-grandchildren, Gracie, Tayten, Teagan, Jaden, Brayton and Makenzie; one sister, Pauline Tilson, husband, Enoch, West Plains, Missouri; one brother, Lowell Hudlow, Columbia, Missouri; three brothers-in-law, Mike Barnett, Crider, Missouri, Alvin Collins, wife, Gloria, West Plains, Missouri and Earl Collins,wife, Candy, Boise, Idaho; one sister-in-law, Bonnie England, West Plains, Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. 

His parents, daughter, Debra Sue Smith, one brother, Delbert Hudlow, one sister, Merlene Barnett, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harvey and Pauline Willard Collins, precede him in death.

Visitation will be from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the Ledbetter Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Ledbetter Cemetery, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
