Elizabeth “Lizzie” Rhine
Funeral services for Elizabeth “Lizzie” Rhine, 88, Bakersfield, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 23, 2012, at Full Gospel Church, Bakersfield, Missouri, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rhine died at 11:20 p.m., Thursday, September 20, 2012, at Hospice House of the Ozarks, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
She was born May 1, 1924, at Vidette, Arkansas, to Hamey and Ora Johnson Bales. On August 31, 1948, she was married at Salem, Arkansas, to Jake Rhine, who preceded her in death July 23, 1996. Mrs. Rhine was a homemaker and a seamstress; she loved to make quilts, especially for all of her grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping and cooking meals for her family. Mrs. Rhine was a member of Full Gospel Church, Bakersfield, Missouri.
She is survived by five children, Sharon Walker, husband, Donnie, Henderson, Arkansas, Judy Mullins, husband, Mickey, Bakersfield, Missouri, Ellen Shrable, husband, Danny, Gepp, Arkansas, Daniel Rhine, wife, Sandra, Salem, Arkansas and June Norman, husband, Rex, Sturkie, Arkansas; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren and one on the way; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Erby Bales, wife, Sunshine, Bakersfield, Missouri; one sister, Agnes Pendergrass, Mountain Home, Arkansas; and many nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, two brothers, Harley Bales, and wife, Lorene and Everett Bales, and wife, Maxine and one brother-in-law, Noel Pendergrass, precede her in death.
Mrs. Rhine will lie in state from 4:00 p.m., Saturday until noon on Sunday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Bakersfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House of the Ozarks or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

I am sorry for the loss of your mother and grandmother. My mother was Effie Guffey Morrison and my dad was Troy (Slim) Morrison. My grandparents Will and Nanny Guffey and my grandmother Salley Morrison all lived in Bakersfield.

We are so sorry for your loss. Lizzie was a powerful prayer warrior for the body of christ, and will be truly missed. We know it brings comfort now that she rests in her Savior’s arms. Our prayers are with your family.
