Bill, Ruby, Bruce, Dennis, Marilyn and families,
I am sorry for your loss of a very wonderful lady that I have always enjoyed. I will never forget her hospitality nor her laugh and sense of humor. I am still not sure if I can make it in for the funeral but want you to know that I am thinking of you all, as well as Dad, Mom and June, along with the rest of the family. I am happy to know that Aunt Ella is no longer suffering and in a much better place, although we will miss her. May God grant you peace in this time of sorrow. Wish I could be there. Love you all.

My Mother was a wonderful lady loving, caring, giving, did not judge, fair, fun, funny, very smart. The only thing I have ever seen upset her was someone hurting any of her family. She got the greatest pleasure from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Two days before she left us she was lying in her hospital bed playing zer-bert with her youngest great-granddaughter and smiling with pleasure. The little ones could get her to do about anything. She loved taking fishing trips, playing cards with family and friends. She would make you work for a win! Even when she was sedated she would save her energy to come up with a funny remark. They will be special memories for us. She would shake her finger at us when she felt us talking about her instead of to her. She wanted family and friends to come see her because they cared about her, not be cause she was not well. She was truly a very wonderful person. We will miss her dearly. Love, Ruby

Ruby,
I am so sorry to hear you lost your mother. I went over to see Richard at chemo and asked if you were there and he told me then. If we can do anything please don’t hesitate to ask as you have certainly done a lot for us.
Keeping you and your family in my prayers.

I will never know a more wonderful person than my aunt Ella. She was the kindest person with the most gentle spirit I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. She was the greatest aunt any niece could ask for. I do not have the words to express how much love I feel for this wonderful lady and her family. She will be greatly missed by all those who’s lives she has touched. What a wonderful woman. I will miss you Aunt Ella….Love Dawn Marie

To all the Russell family: My deepest sympathy for the lost of Aunt Ella. Even though I have not been around for some years, I have lots of great memories of being at the house and with the family. She was a loving, caring, gentle person. Her sense of humor was amazing. She touched so many peoples lives and made them better. I think of the family often. This is what Scott had to say on his facebook: My great aunt passed yesterday, one of the sweetest women I had ever had the pleasure of knowing! God rest her soul! Our thoughts and prayers are with you all now and always.

To All The Russell Family:
We are so sorry for your lost. I had the pleasure of meeting your mom last year when we went on a trip to northern Missouri to visit the Amish. She was a great person to visit with. She shared with me stories of you kids, and how proud she was of each and everyone of one. She talked about her grandkids and all the little things they did. One thing she truly enjoyed was cooking for you and her time with you at lunch. Cheerish all those memories. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you.
