Elsa Vera Huddleston
Funeral services for Elsa Vera Huddleston, 92, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 30, 2018 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Huddleston passed away at 3:50 a.m., Thursday, June 28, 2018 at West Vue Nursing Center.
She was born May 15, 1926, at Rover, Missouri, to William Franklin Redburn and Mary Sylvania Childers Redburn. On September 24, 1945, she was married at Salem, Arkansas, to Carl Mitchell Huddleston, who preceded her in death on June 18, 2003. She loved cooking for her family and helping at Bible school and singings. Mrs. Huddleston was a member of Shilo Baptist Church, Rover, Missouri.
She is survived by seven children, Roy Huddleston, Rover, Missouri, Audena Granger-Staley, Rover, Missouri, Donald Huddleston and wife, Carla, West Plains, Ronald Huddleston and wife Patricia, Pamela Hollis and husband, Mike, Tim Huddleston and Mary Anna Russell and husband, Robert, all of Rover, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Kay Huddleston, West Plains, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, one son, J. C. Huddleston, two sons-in-law, Coy Granger and Gerald Staley, one grandson, Michael Crawford, one great-grandson, Rayden Brucker, one great-great-grandson, Miles Dotson, two brothers, Lee and Austin and two sisters, Goldie and Mable, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Huddleston will lie in state from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Jolliff Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Jolliff Cemetery and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
