Eugene “Gene” Adams
Graveside services for Eugene “Gene” Adams, 84, Pomona, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Adams died at 2:07 p.m., Saturday, August 31, 2013, at Ozarks Medical Center.
He was born June 21, 1929, at Conran, Missouri, to Harrison and Mattie Craig Adams. On June 2, 1955, he was married at Hernando, Mississippi to Norma Pierson. Mr. Adams was a veteran, having served with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed basketball and working on his farm. Mr. Adams was of the Protestant faith.
He is survived by his wife, Norma J. Adams, of the family home; four children, David Adams, wife, Lisa, Fenton, Missouri, Jane Pingleton, husband, Larry, West Plains, Missouri, Karen Toellner, husband, Bil, Fort Worth, Texas and Sharon Adams, West Plains, Missouri; five grandchildren, Billy Toellner, Mat Toellner, Courtney Woodruff, Seth Pingleton and Emma Pingleton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
His parents, two brothers and one infant sister, precede him in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
