Eva Adelia Horn
Funeral services for Eva Adelia Horn, 89, Evansville, Indiana, formerly of West Plains, will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2012, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Horn died at 6:30 a.m., Saturday, April 7, 2012, at Stirling House Assisted Living, Evansville, Indiana. She was born January 5, 1923, at Cleveland, Oklahoma, to Isaac Baty Hoggatt and Lula Webb Hoggatt. Mrs. Horn was a veteran having served in the United States Navy. On August 14, 1946, she was married at Springfield, Illinois, to Clyde Stewart Horn, who preceded her in death on March 1, 2006. Mrs. Horn was a homemaker and was of the Church of Christ faith.
She is survived by two children, Larry Horn, wife, Joyce, Evansville, Indiana and Dan Horn, wife, Mary, Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren, Kristina Behenna, Adam Horn, Abigail Horn, Webb Horn and Mary Eva Horn; two great-grandchildren, Brandon Behenna and Megan Behenna; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, two brothers and two sisters, precede her in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Free Union Cemetery.

I was not privileged to know Eva Horn personally, but I have been privileged to know one of her sons. That friendship has been enough to persuade me that Eva Horn must have been a remarkable woman, and we will all be the poorer for her passing.
