Evelyn “Sue” Gunter

Funeral services for Evelyn “Sue” Gunter, 74, West Plains, Missouri, will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2012, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Mrs. Gunter died at 2:15 a.m., Saturday, May 12, 2012, at NHC Healthcare. She was born January 16, 1938, at Eminence, Missouri, to William Albert and Vela Alvus Crowder Conway. Sue graduated from West Plains High School. On June 30, 1956, she was married at Hernando, Mississippi, to Sherman Gunter, who preceded her in death on September 1, 1988. Before her retirement, she had worked at Baxter Lab, Mountain Home, Arkansas. She enjoyed flowers and loved her grandkids. Mrs. Gunter was of the Church of Christ faith.
She is survived by eight children, Dianne Collins, companion, Phil Allen, Jr., Pomona, Missouri, Bobbie Collins, Jackie Thornton, husband, Brad, Chris Turner, husband Keith, Tony Gunter, wife, Rhonda, Tommy Gunter, wife, Kim, all of West Plains, Missouri, Timmy Gunter, Gainesville, Missouri and Paul Gunter, wife, Amy, West Plains, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, one brother and five sisters, precede her in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 14, 2012, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the White Oak Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Sorry for the loss of your mother. Sue was my aunt. My father was William Conway. I just found this and was unaware of her death. Although I only met your family once in my life when I was just five years old. My mom and dad would talk of Sue. I remember going to your house when we visited there and playing with the twin boys which I think were a little younger than me.
