Faye Nadine Surritte
Funeral services for Faye Nadine Surritte, 101, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 13, 2013, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Surritte died at 3:20 a.m., Monday, February 11, 2013, at West Vue Nursing Center.
She was born April 14, 1911, at Morris, Oklahoma, to Marion Omer Jackson and Bertha Alice Galloway Jackson. On May 28, 1927, she was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Homer Dean Surritte, who preceded her in death on December 18, 1992. Mrs. Surritte was a housekeeper for the Robert Butler Family for many years and worked in housekeeping at Ozarks Medical Center. She was a member of TOPS Club, V.F.W. Auxiliary 1828 and enjoyed quilting and crocheting. Mrs. Surritte was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by two children, Dale Surritte and wife, Tommy and Jerry D. Surritte and wife, Shirley, all of West Plains, Missouri; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Her parents, husband, daughter, Martha Riley, son-in-law, Ray Riley, two sisters and one brother, precede her in death.
Mrs. Surritte will lie in state from 2:00 p.m., Tuesday until service time at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Pottersville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
