Floyd Rhine
Funeral services for Floyd Rhine, 84, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Curry Street Church of Christ, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Rhine passed away at 5:55 p.m., Friday, August 13, 2021, at Ozarks Medical Center.
He was born May 6, 1937, at Bakersfield, Missouri, to Dewey Garfield Rhine and Sula Butram Rhine. On October 18, 1958, he was married to Dorothy Ann McThompson. To their union, one daughter was born, Vicky Sue Rhine Combs. Mr. Rhine was a veteran, having served with the United States Army in Germany. Floyd worked at the International Shoe Factory for seventeen years. He was a jack of all trades. Mr. Rhine was an auctioneer for many years, he bought and sold cattle and horses along with having car and trailer sales businesses. He never knew a stranger.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Rhine; their daughter, Vicky Sue Rhine Combs; a daughter from a previous marriage, Shirley Garrison and husband, Ronnie; a special nephew that he loved as a son, Jeri Wayne Rhine and wife, Sondra; four grandchildren, Anna Casey and husband, Craig, Shana Scicluna and husband, Justin, Shawn Garrison and wife, Jenni and Heath Garrison and Matthew; seven great-grandchildren, Landon, Lexus, Lyndzey and Layton Casey (children of Anna and Craig), Christian Scicluna (son of Shana and Justin) and Ryan and Tyler Garrison (sons of Shawn and Jenni); one great-great-grandson, Rylan Garrison (son of Ryan and Alexis); two brothers, Roy Rhine and Gary Rhine and wife, Mary; two sisters, Pauline Scherff and Helen Laxton; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, two brothers, Ray Rhine and Charles Wayne Rhine and one nephew, Keith Wayne Rhine, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the South Fork Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to South Fork Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO 65775.

So sorry to hear of our friend going on much to early. My father in law and mother in works with him many yrs and talked about him almost Dailey Joe and Helen worked many days with him in his auctions. He came to see Joe many times in Joes final days.
