Francis Palmer
Funeral services for Francis Marion Palmer, Jr., 74, Alton, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 21, 2018 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Palmer passed away at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Ozarks Medical Center.
He was born February 11, 1944, at Littlefield, Texas, to Francis Marion Palmer, Sr. and Madgie Myrtle Kennedy Palmer. Mr. Palmer was a foreman in the construction industry and was a member of Teamsters Union.
He is survived by five children, Rosalie Girdley, West Plains, Missouri, Billy Joe Palmer, Alton, Missouri, Helen Campbell and husband, Alvin, Alton, Missouri, Patricia Ann Caughron and husband, Junior, Thayer, Missouri and Francis Marion Palmer, III “Mick”, Reddick, Illinois; five grandchildren, Randy Wilson, Jr., Greggory Campbell, Devin Thompson, KammRenee Thompson and Charlie Joe Palmer; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Herbert Palmer, Rover, Missouri; one sister, Nell Whirrell, Washburn, Illinois; many nieces and nephews; his former wife of twenty-seven years, Judy Palmer; and special friend, James McCloskey, Thayer, Missouri.
His parents, one granddaughter, Tina Wilson, four brothers, Phillip, Shelby, Stanley and Lonnie “Pete” Palmer, and three sisters, Thelma Rice and twins Dorothy Brinkley and Dolly Goode, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Huddleston Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Huddleston Cemetery and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
