Gary Bryan Head
Funeral services for Gary Bryan Head, 63, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 2, 2014, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Head died at 7:30 a.m., Saturday, March 29, 2014, at his home.
He was born July 10, 1950, at Rockford, Illinois, to Davie and Lois Riddle Head. On November 9, 1968, he was married at St. Louis, Missouri, to Carolyn Ergle. He worked at Regal-Beloit, was an avid racing fan, a former racer and currently enjoyed working on his son’s car. Mr. Head was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Head, of the family home; five children, Kevin Head, wife Wendy, Rockford, Illinois, Lisa Stoller, Black River Falls, Wisconsin, Kimberly Meyer, husband, Michael, Bettendorf, Iowa, Kurtis Head, Rockford, Illinois and Keith Head, wife, Shawna, Pomona, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild on the way; three sisters, Jean Schewe, husband, Wayne, Cheryl Perkins, husband, Chuck and Jackie Carrico, husband, Donnie; and two special friends, John Logan and Joey Smith.
His parents and one sister, Karen Hayenga, precede him in death.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Carol and family, Im so saddened by the loss of Gary he was a wonderful person, great husband, and super daddy. I was shocked when I saw this yesterday on facebook. That big Super Race Track in the sky is gonna have one hellava race team. My prayers are with you and your family. I miss you guys and love ya lots. Love ya, Kelly Gabel

I was deeply saddened to hear about Gary, he was such a great guy. I know family was his priority and he was totally devoted to his wife Carolyn. He will be missed by all.

I heard the news, I am total sorry, Gary was always nice to me when I was growing up, I enjoyed watching him race figure 8, road runners and Enduro, late models , he seemed a bit crazy behind the wheel, but he was a very good driver and a clean driver. I pray for the family, they may not remember me, but I remember them, they was always nice to me to.
