She was born September 19, 1948, in Myron, Arkansas, to Virgie Mae and Millard Gill. Genon is survived by four siblings: Cletis Gill, Lannie Gill, Patti Ann Bongers, and Christine Fox, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her grandson Bryce Zaremba and her nephew Travis Gill. Genon was artistic, creative, and crafty. She was an accomplished painter, prolific with crochet, and productive with embroidery. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. Genon adored her pomeranians, Teekie and Rickena, who were her loving companions. As Genon wrote: “Do all you can do while you’re living and make every day count. Love your children and they will love you back as you all have me. To the rest of my family, grandchildren, friends and all, thank you for being part of my life. Please remember me with a smile. I love you all. See ya in Heaven.” A memorial service will be held in the summer. Her family extends sincere thanks to the staff and doctors of Ozarks Healthcare.

What a beautiful sentiment Genon wrote! Absolutely wonderful and so true. Christine, my love and prayers are with you, as they are with Genon’s family. May God bring peace and tranquility to all of you. As Genon said, remember her with a smile.

Oh my dear Aunt. Thank you for the memories. From the house on the hill to the horses. I will miss you dearly and I am thankful for your love. Rest in Heaven now with no pain or suffering. Hug Grandma and Grandpa Gill and my baby brother and all our other loved ones. See you in Heaven some day.
On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross
The emblem of suffering and shame
And I love that old cross where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain
So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross (rugged cross)
Till my trophies at last I lay down
I will cling to the old rugged cross
And exchange it some day for a crown
To the old rugged cross I will ever be true
It’s shame and reproach gladly bear
Then he’ll call me some day to my home far away
Where his glory forever I’ll share
And I’ll cherish the old rugged cross (rugged cross)
Till my trophies at last I lay down
And I will cling to the old rugged cross
And exchange it some day for a crown
I will cling to the old rugged cross
And exchange it some day for a crown
