George Oliver Edmonston
Graveside services for George Oliver Edmonston, 74, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Pottersville Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Edmonston died at 8:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at his home.
He was born January 12, 1938, at West Plains, Missouri, to Warren and Tressie Harrell Edmonston. On June 8, 1957, he was married at Salem, Arkansas, to Wanda Bennett. Mr. Edmonston was a veteran, having served in the United States Army and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was Pastor of the Church of God Southern Missouri and was a member of Church of God Southern Missouri at Pomona, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Edmonston, of the family home; two children, Tara Miller, husband, Dan, West Plains, Missouri, and Lisa Forsyth, Springfield, Missouri; two grandchildren, Cheyanna Miller and Sydney Miller, both of West Plains, Missouri; three brothers, Ron Farr, Gerry Farr, wife, Deana, Springfield, Missouri and Orville Eugene Farr, State of Arizona; one sister, Margie Griffin, West Plains, Missouri; aunt, Mary Allen, St. Louis, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, one sister, Shirley Graham, brother-in-law, Jack Griffin, precede him in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 5, 2012, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association or charity of choice, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
