I was very sorry to hear of Aunt Dude passing away. She will be sorely missed by many. I am sure she is happy to be reunited with Uncle Acie. I figure she and Mom have about caught up by now. I remember that they used to talk on the telephone every night before Mom passed away. Mom has been gone a little over 9 years now, so they had a LOT of catching up to do. My thoughts and prayers are with all of Aunt Dude’s family and many friends.

This sweet lady was one of the many at Fairview School that took me under their wings and helped raise me when I started teaching at the tender age of nineteen. She was always smiling and encouraging. God Bless her abundantly.

Bernice use to babysit my son, Michael and I will never forget the good care she gave him and the early hours she would get up to provide that care. And her smile – I will never forget. I will never forget Grandpa Thompson sitting in his chair in the living room, reading his Bible – what a fine example for my son. We loved them very much. My son is 27 years old now and remembers them well. They were both very special. Our condolences to the family.
