Glenda Adkisson
Funeral services for Glenda Virginia Adkisson, 87, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2018 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Adkisson went to her eternal home at 11:54 a.m., Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Brooke Haven Health Care, the place she considered home for the past four years. Her loving family was by her side.
She was born February 13, 1931, at Myrtle, Missouri, to Loran Wetzel and Delphia Phenix Wetzel. Glenda attended West Plains High School. On May 7, 1949, she was married at the Assembly of God Church, Salem, Arkansas, to Lehman Adkisson. Along with her husband, she was the owner of West Plains Fence Company for many years and Glenda’s Dress Shop. She was involved with HOBA Bluegrass, loved her family and enjoyed going to flea markets, cooking, and collecting antiques. Mrs. Adkisson received God as her personal savior at an early age; her faith and relationship with her Lord was vital as to whom she was; she was a member of Victory Family Worship Center for sixty-two years, where she willingly served the Lord and her church family in any way she could. Her presence will be missed by all.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-nine years, Lehman Adkisson, of the family home; four children, Brenda Montgomery and husband, David, Willow Springs, Missouri, Ron Adkisson and wife, Becky, Pomona, Missouri, Randy Adkisson and wife, Charlotte, West Plains, Missouri and Robin Wray and husband, Bart, Greenbrier, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Erik Montgomery and wife, Katie, Elaina Martin and husband, Chad, Trevor Hatfield, Kendra Gleghorn and husband, Chad, Nicholas Wray, Spencer Adkisson and Jackie Wray; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ina and Betty; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, three brothers, Richard, Lonnas and James and three sisters, Little Lola, Lucy and Donna, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Brooke Haven Health Care and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

I am so sorry to hear of Glenda’s passing, I had not seen her for many years but when looking back on life and places I had worked, her and Lehman were always a part of the memory. Prayers for comfort
