Guerdon James Farner
Guerdon James Farner, 83, West Plains, Missouri, died at 6:10 a.m., Monday, May 21, 2012, at his home. He was born May 12, 1929, at Flint, Michigan, to Harry and Zola Root Farner. Mr. Farner was a veteran having served in the United States Army and Navy. Before his retirement, he worked as a job fitter with General Motors, Flint, Michigan. He loved golf, football and watching sports on television. Mr. Farner was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by five children, Wendy Burgess, West Plains, Missouri, Karel Vance, husband, Tom, State of Michigan, Scott Farner, wife, Katie, State of Michigan, Mark Miller, State of Tennessee and Dean Miller, wife, Dorothy, State of Tennessee; sixteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Lee Farner, State of Michigan; and many nieces and nephews.
His parents, two brothers and one daughter, Niki Farner, precede him in death.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Michigan. Arrangements under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
