Harley Johnson
Graveside services for Harley Wallace Johnson, 82, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 20, 2017 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Johnson passed away at 1:20 a.m., Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Autumn Oaks Caring Center, Mountain Grove, Missouri.
He was born March 22, 1935, at Kansas City, Kansas, to Ernest Johnson and Ola “Irene” Ledbetter Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a veteran, having served with the United States Army. Before his retirement, he was a mechanic and school bus driver. Harley liked to fish, play cards and enjoyed visiting with his coffee buddies.
He is survived by three children, Kim Patton, Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Sherry Bailey and husband, John, Morton, Illinois and Tracy Cherry and husband, Cass, Owasso, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Alyssa, Halee, Wyatt, Nathan, Morgan, Seth and Reagan; three brothers, Marvin Johnson and wife, Neva, Homer, Alaska, Ralph Johnson and wife, Kay, Ava, Missouri and Howard Johnson, Kansas City, Missouri; four sisters, Shirley MacIlroy, State of Arizona, Barbara Minear and husband, Richard, Kansas City, Kansas, Evelyn Hegar-Johnson and Nancy Thomas, both of State of Texas; one sister-in-law, Judy Johnson, Wentzville, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
His parents, and two brothers, Larry and Jerry Johnson preceded him in death.
Mr. Johnson will lie in state from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m., Thursday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Folds of Honor Scholarship Foundation and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home
