Herbert “Owen” Williams
Funeral services for Herbert “Owen” Williams, 76, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 27, 2017 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Williams passed away at 1:15 p.m., Sunday, April 23, 2017 at his home.
He was born November 17, 1940, at Hutton Valley, Missouri, to Herbert Audra Williams and Mary Maxine Gregory Williams. He graduated from West Plains High School with the Class of 1958 and on October 28, 1960, he was married to his beloved wife, Helen Ruth Tucker Williams, at West Plains. Before his retirement in 2006, he was the warehouse manager at Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative. Owen enjoyed reading, fishing, bowling and tending to his lawn. He loved to tell jokes and wrote many humorous poems and limericks. He most enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Owen was always quick to brighten the atmosphere.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Williams; three children, Kevin Williams and wife, Polly, Kristi Bash and husband, Kaenan and Karla Shelley and husband, Kelly; eight grandchildren, Travis, Rebecca, Hillary, Brittney, Jared, Jessica, Kyle and Kiersten; and nine great-grandchildren, Allyson, Austin, Levi, Wesley, Olivia, Jayden, Tucker, Gunnar and Harlie.
His parents, one daughter, Sandra Kathleen and one grandson, Jeremy, precede him in death.
Mr. Williams will lie in state from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Hutton Valley Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hutton Valley Cemetery and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

I agree with Alan!!! Owen you were one of a kind. You always had a joke or two for me when we worked at Howell Oregon together. You will be missed by all of those that knew you. Hugs to you Kristi and Karla and the rest of the family!!!! Your Friend, Shelley
