Herman Woodrow Bennett
Graveside services for Herman Woodrow Bennett, 87, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Oak Lawn Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Bennett passed away at 3:54 a.m., Sunday, January 26, 2025, at West Vue Nursing Center.
He was born July 14, 1937, at Cureall, Missouri, to Leslie Lewis Bennett and Opal F. Surritte Bennett. On October 26, 1957, he was married at West Plains, to Shirley Ann Bryan, who preceded him in death on February 6, 1991. Herman worked for Jackie D. Garrett for thirty-five years as a wrecker and station operator. He was well known and loved by many. He loved wood working, among his creations were several vehicles including a wrecker and log cabins. In his younger years, Herman loved to fish and deer hunt. He enjoyed going to square dancing activities with his companion, Wilma Waggoner. Herman loved his extended family at Jimmie’s Restaurant, where he spent a lot of his meals and talking with friends. Mr. Bennett was a member of Spring Creek Church.
He is survived by one daughter, Mary Frazier and husband, Mark; three grandsons, Shawn Frazier and wife, Tiana, Timmy Frazier and Joshua Frazier and wife, Brandi; six great-grandchildren, Drake Frazier and wife, Cassidy, Aidan Frazier, Elaysa Frazier, River Bo Frazier, Carmen O’Shaughnessy and Lily Frazier; two great-great-grandchildren, Tyler and Memphis Frazier; one brother, Robert Bennett and wife, Beverly, his long time companion, Wilma Waggoner; many nieces and nephews; and his best friends and neighbors Chuck and the late Frankie Hogancamp.
His parents, wife, three brothers, Harold, Harley and David Bennett, and one sister, Wanda Edmonston, preceded him in death.
Visitation services will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, at the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity of choice and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO 65775.

Our Deepest Sympathy to each of you on the passing of Herman. We have wonderful memories of Herman from having lived all those years on Monks Street and knowing the kind, caring individual he was to all his family and friends alike. We loved the conversations in person or on the phone and the visits with him too. He will be greatly missed!
