Funeral services for Jackie Wayne Butler, 78, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 24, 2022 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Butler passed away at 1:39 a.m., Saturday, August 20, 2022, at his home.
He was born July 15, 1944, at West Plains, Missouri, to Clinton Jack Butler and Edna Louise Cook Butler. Mr. Butler was a veteran, having served with the United States Navy; he served in Vietnam and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Bronze Star and Vietnam Campaign Medal. On April 30, 2011, he was married at West Plains, to Beatrice Phillips. Before his retirement, Mr. Butler held many jobs, including bus driver, truck driver, farming, a welder/supervisor at DRS and a boiler maker with Nooter Corporation. He had been a member of the American Simmental Association and the Hearth of the Ozarks Fair Board.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Butler; his children, Michelle Haney, Regina Willard, Jim Butler, Kevin Butler, Roger Bachmann and Mark Bachmann; seven grandchildren, Ashley, Gabriella, Gavin, Jay, Sonny, Mark Jr., Andreanna and Colt; great-granddaughter, Addy; two brothers, Larry Butler and Bennie “Butch” Butler; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents and one grandson, Jaxson preceded him in death.
Burial will be in the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery.

I’m so sorry to learn of Jack’s passing. I remember all the good times with the Cook/Butler family from 4-H when we were young. My condolences to all of you.
