So sad to hear of the passing of Mr. Dorris. I attended the Methodist church in Alton when I was growing up with Mr. Dorris and his lovely wife Norvelene. Talk about dedicated individuals to their church. They were the epitome of dedication. I can’t ever recall a Sunday in which Mr. Dorris was not there greeting my mom and me with a bulletin. And of course Mrs. Dorris was my Sunday school teacher. Mom would always have to reprimand us if she heard Mr. Dorris and I making a wager on an upcoming sporting event. The last time mom and I saw Mr. Dorris was at the Fish Shack in West Plains. Mom always laughed when she recalled how Mr. Dorris told her that not only did he know who she was, but also how old she was. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Dorris family.

Sorry to hear of Keith’s passing. My mom and I played many a “cat and dog” with he and Nene. I would come in person but just too high of a risk at this time. Maybe one of us “senior golfers” will chip one in for him soon.

Uncle Keith was a great guy. He always greeted me with a smile and was always upbeat and positive…it didn’t matter if he was turning me down for a loan or hushing me during church or playing chess during the holidays. I used to constantly give him grief about his bald head and I’m sure he had a good laugh when he saw me a couple of years ago with my bald head.
We will miss you Uncle Keith.

Prayers for the Family. Lots of treasured friendship came my way from Keith and Nean. The Thayer group of golfers from Alton and Thayer had great fellowship and evening dinners at the golf course. There always seemed to be the sip of Old Charter now and then.
Thanks to your Family for being the kind and generous friends you were to me. Memories that will always be treasured.
