James Lewis “Red” Baker
Graveside services for James Lewis “Red” Baker, 92, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 26, 2018 at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Baker passed away at 11:55 a.m., Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at NHC Health Care.
He was born December 16, 1925, near Thomasville, Missouri, to Pare Baker and Rebecca DePriest Baker. Red attended Mt. Pleasant School. On November 7, 1980, he was married to Bertha Hensley, who preceded him in death on July 7, 2006. He did farm work before becoming employed with West Plains Coca-Cola Bottling Company, where he worked until his retirement. Red was a big fan of St. Louis Cardinals.
He is survived by one brother, P. D. “Ace” Baker and wife, Mary Jo, West Plains, Missouri; niece, Vicky Deatherage and husband, Dr. Ted Deatherage, West Plains; nephew, Kenny Baker and wife, Jackie, West Plains; special cousin, Jackie DePriest and wife, Linda, Springfield, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Sherrel Baker, Willow Springs, Missouri; and several other cousins, nieces and nephews.
His parents, wife, two brothers, Homer and Joe Baker, preceded him in death.
Mr. Baker will lie in state from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Thursday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Gideon Bible Society and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Kenny, Jackie, Vicky, and Ted and Baker Family,
