James Paul McKee
Graveside services for James Paul McKee, 85, Brixey, Missouri, will be held at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, November 17, 2013, at Ledbetter Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. McKee died at 7:15 p.m., Thursday, November 14, 2013, at his home.
He was born July 13, 1928, at West Plains, Missouri, to Harry McKee and Earnestine Summers McKee. On October 14, 1950, he was married at Salem, Arkansas to Ellen “Marie” Fox. He worked in the sawmill industry and was a mule skinner. Mr. McKee was a Christian and a Presbyterian.
He is survived by his wife, Marie McKee; six children, Keith McKee, Brixey, Missouri, Kelly Ray McKee, Crider, Missouri, Kevin McKee, wife Carol, Crider, Missouri, Kerry McKee, wife, Alice, Brixey, Missouri, Jo Ellen McKee, State of Mississippi and Joyce Ledbetter, West Plains, Missouri; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Don McKee, wife, Anita, Wichita, Kansas; one sister, Elsie Croney, Mountain Home; several nieces and nephews; and Biscuit, his horse.
His parents, one son, James “Kenneth” McKee, one daughter, Pamela Sue McKee, one brother, Harry Joe McKee and one sister, Maxine Collins, precede him in death.
Mr. McKee will lie in state from 3:00 p.m., Saturday, until 1:00 p.m., Sunday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Ledbetter Cemetery or the Family, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
