The Walter’s Families,
We want to extend our deepest sympathy to all of you on the passing of Jimmie. Our son, Corby, had Jimmie as Math Instructor at MSU-WP and loved working with Jimmie! She was kind, considerate, and caring towards Corby helping to be successful in his career as a Police Dispatcher for the City of West Plains. I am sure that Jimmie made a difference with all the students she worked with on a daily basis. He was very sorry to hear of Jimmie’s passing. Our prayers are with all of you. During this difficult time may God encourage, comfort, and strengthen all of you daily and may God bless all of you.
In Christian Love,
Tim, Amber, and Corby Redburn

Jimmie was such a beautiful person and will be missed in our community. I met Jimmie at the Pennsylvania House at MSU-WP when I decided to go back to school after 35 years. Jimmie helped me reinforce my math skills and prepare for a successful college journey. The few times I saw Jimmie at the market or about town she was always very friendly and took time to say hello. My condolences to her family and all her friends at this time of loss.

I worked with Jimmie at MSU- Adult Education and Literacy. I helped her tutor students obtaining their GED or needing extra help with their coursework. Each time I worked with her, I got to observe her unlimited compassion and love towards students and people she got to help. She had a passion for her profession and it was clear in her demeanor. She could be described as funny, sassy, and extremely kind to name a few. I haven’t seen her since I left that position on campus; however, I’ve often thought of her and the positive light she left in the world. My condolences to the family for losing Jimmie and all of the good characteristics she shared. She will be greatly missed!
