Funeral services for Jimmie Warren Mathis, 72, Springfield, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 10, 2023, in the Rose Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Mathis passed away at 7:10 a.m., Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
He was born October 3, 1950, at White Oak, Missouri, to J. W. Mathis and JoAnn Simmons. On November 6, 1971, he was married at Arlington, Virginia, to Elizabeth Green. Mr. Mathis was a veteran, having served with the United States Army. He enjoyed boating and fishing, and he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was always the life of the party.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, of the family home; two daughters, Brooke Mathis, and Jessica Snyder and husband, Donald, all of Springfield, Missouri; two grandchildren, Lane Snyder and wife, Kat, and Bob Snyder and Challa Watkins, all of Springfield, Missouri; two great-grandchildren, Kaiden Snyder and Nolan Snyder, both of Springfield, Missouri; one sister, Janet Martin and husband, Charlie, Augusta, Georgia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
His parents, one son-in-law, Frankie Church, and two sisters, Barbara Revelle and Joyce Davenport, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be at Howell Valley Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO 65775.

He was such an amazing man. I’ll always remember him & Beth showing me how to make Pico. The family is in our thoughts & prayers. We are so sorry for the loss.

Jim was a great guy, he will be missed. We sold cars together at brad guffey motors. May he find a great fishing hole in heaven.
