Funeral services for Jimmy Dale Tharp, 76, Pomona, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Tharp passed away at 2:22 p.m., Friday, September 10, 2021, at his home.
He was born December 7, 1944, at Shelbyville, Illinois, to Loren Sevester Tharp and Loar Dalene Glaspell Tharp. On September 28, 1963, he was married at Batesville, Arkansas, to Deloris Evelyn Beauchamp. Jimmy worked many years for Stewart-Morrison Redi-Mix and Branson Tri-Lakes Petroleum as a truck driver. He attended Hilltop Holiness Church in Willow Springs.
He is survived by his wife, Deloris Tharp, of the family home; three children, Dalene Yarbrough and husband, Danny and Danny Tharp and wife, Amy, all of West Plains and Cindy McCradic and husband, Jamie, Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Jesse Yarbrough and wife, Sarah, Jesup, Georgia, Levi Yarbrough, Andrew Tharp and wife, Laura, Michael Tharp and Jonathan Tharp, all of West Plains, Breanna Murray and husband, Dalton, Piggott, Arkansas, Derek McCradic, Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; three great-grandchildren, Tristan, Bryson and Zoey Yarbrough; five brothers, Charles Tharp, Mountain View, Missouri, Freddie Tharp, Gary Tharp and w fe, Darlene and Jerry Tharp and wife, Janice, all of West Plains, Keith Tharp and wife, Marilyn, Birch Tree, Missouri; five sisters, Elaine Redburn and Shirley Holden, both of West Plains, Betty Tedder and husband, Rollan, Branson, Missouri, Verna Murphy and husband, Wayne, Joyce Snethern and husband, Jerry, Birch Tree, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Rhonda Tharp, West Plains and Janet Tharp, Mountain View; special cousin, Chloe Dahl, Laingsburg, Michigan; and many nieces and nephews .
His parents, four brothers, Edward Tharp and wife, Betty, Dean Tharp and wife, Helen, Larry (Dick) Tharp and Terry Tharp, one sister, Lela Kay Tharp, two brothers-in-law, Carl Redburn and Clay Holden and one infant granddaughter, Rebecca Yarbrough, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO 65775.
