Joyce Von Allmen
Funeral services for Joyce Anita Von Allmen, 78, Koshkonong, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Rover Faith Tabernacle, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Von Allmen passed away at 10:06 a.m., Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Ozarks Medical Center.
She was born December 23, 1939, at Rover, Missouri, to Ray Huddleston and Clara Young Huddleston. On December 1, 1957, she was married to Leowen Von Allmen. She was a Christian faithful devoted wife of sixty years and surrounded those around her with love, patience, goodness and kindness. Her grandchildren were the highlight of her life; Joyce beamed anytime one of them walked into the room. Mrs. Von Allmen was a beloved teacher of twenty-five years and was a long time member of Shilo Baptist Church in Rover.
She is survived by her husband, Leowen Leon Von Allmen, Rover, Missouri; one son, Terry Von Allmen, Rover, Missouri; one daughter, Renea Von Allmen Alsup and husband, Brent, Rover, Missouri; four grandchildren, Lee Von Allmen and wife, Claire and Lucas Von Allmen, both of Springfield, Missouri, Jennifer Joyce Newberry and husband, Brad and Brittney Carney and husband, Nick, both of Rover, Missouri; six great-grandchildren and one on the way; two sisters, Dorothy Barton and husband, Gary, Alton, Missouri and Mary Lou James and husband, Eugene, West Plains, Missouri, one sister-in-law, Marla Scarcliff and husband, Chuck, Glassford, Illinois; and one brother-in-law, Jack Smoot, St. James, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
Her parents, one great-grandson, Brody River, two brothers, Dale Huddleston and Bobby Huddleston and two sisters, LaWanda Smoot and Elaine Huddleston, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Von Allmen will lie in state from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Friday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., Saturday, at Rover Faith Tabernacle. Burial will be in the Jolliff Cemetery.

I enjoyed working with Joyce as a teacher at Mammoth Spring High School. She was a kind and compassionate person and I feel blessed to have known her.
