Judson Shipley
Graveside services for Judson Shipley, 85, Dora, Missouri, will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the Ball Cemetery near Dora, Missouri under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Shipley died 6:15 p.m., Monday, June 11, 2012 at his home.
He was born August 1, 1926 at Dora, Missouri to James Truman and Lizzie Warren Shipley. Mr. Shipley attended the Adam School near Dora, Missouri and on January 2, 1950, was married at Salem, Arkansas to Juanita Nell Anderson. He was a veteran of World War II having served with the United States Navy. Mr. Shipley was a well-known farmer in the Dora area, had been employed as a road grader operator for Ozark County, Missouri and served two terms as Ozark County Commissioner.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Shipley, of the family home; three sons, Dennis Steve Shipley, wife, Sherray, Mountain Home, Arkansas, David Shipley, wife, Jeanie, Dora, Missouri and Michael Shipley, wife, Sherry, Dora, Missouri; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, one son, Kenneth Edward Shipley, one brother, Byron Shipley and two sisters, Nova Mageehon and Beulah Claybrook, precede him in death.
Mr. Shipley will lie in state from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 13th at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fair Haven Children’s Home and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
