A celebration of life service for Kaleb James Johnson, 18, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 4, 2021 at First Freewill Baptist Church, 1814 CR 6460, West Plains, Missouri.
Kaleb passed away at 5:31 p.m., Saturday, August 28, 2021.
He was born on June 3, 2003 in West Plains, Missouri. Kaleb was a talented musician. He loved band and enjoyed writing music, playing brass instruments and seeing how low he could go. He loved his dogs with all of his heart. Kaleb was one of a kind and saw the world through his unique lenses. He had a sharp wit and great sense of humor. He was passionate about the things he loved. That included peanut butter everything and junk food of almost any kind; video games, especially Halo; making polearms and sparring to try them out; memes (they were all funny to him). He loved pathfinder, funny t-shirts and jeans. He was proud of his “Merica” and very loudly disliked big government. He was always educating us about his interests, like it or not. He collected PEZ dispensers, numerical pictures, and dice. He loved teasing. Especially calling his Aunt Mandy “Shorty”, his Mam old and his Mom anything that wouldn’t get him grounded. He was an amazing brother and was so proud of his sister. He thought his dad was a person to admire.
He is survived by his parents, Daniel and Jamie Johnson, and his sister, Melody Johnson, and his beloved dogs Chewy and Solo, all of the family home. His maternal grandparents Robin (Mam) and Kenny (Pop) Carroll of West Plains. His paternal grandparents, Nick and Diane Johnson of St. Joseph, MO. He was loved by so many family and friends and his squad. He was greeted in death by Jesus, his great grandparents Jim and Jean Sharp, Harold and Lily Carroll, and Ray Barnes.
Memorial contributions may be made to West Plains Zizzer Band Program and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO 65775.
