Katherine Marie Wood Clark
Graveside services for Katherine Marie Wood Clark, 82, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2013, at Stuart Union Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Clark died at 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at NHC Healthcare.
She was born October 14, 1930, at Whiteville, Tennessee, to Ervin Rodgers and Oscie Mathis Rodgers. On July 3, 1948, she was married at Glendale, Arizona, to Kenneth Wood; two children were born to this union, Roger Wood and Sharon Wood Friend. In 1978, she was married to Thonie Clark. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and a good homemaker. Throughout her life, she was a dairy farmer, worked at West Plains Shoe Factory, Eaton Corporation and the West Plains High School cafeteria. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. Everyone remembers her by her sweet smile. Mrs. Clark was a member and had attended Spring Creek Church.
She is survived by two children, Roger Wood, wife, Rolinda, Mansfield, Missouri and Sharon Friend, husband, Logan, Oxford, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Lori Wood, Michelle Watson, Justin Friend and Joshua Friend; six great-grandchildren that called her “Granny Coke” because she supplied them with cokes and candy, Kanen Watson, Noah Friend, Kelsi Watson, Sydney Watson, Faith Watson and Jacob Friend; one sister; Laverne Faulkner; and three brothers, Jerry Rodgers, Don Rodgers and Larry Rodgers.
Her parents, husbands, one brother, Richard Rodgers and one sister-in-law Sandy Rodgers, precede her in death.
