Funeral services for Katy Lila May Cope, 82, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 12, 2022 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cope passed away at 7:55 p.m., Monday, June 6, 2022, at West Vue Nursing Center.
She was born May 27, 1940, at Decatur, Alabama, to Floyd Linderman and Jewel Lowery. On July 16, 1963, she was married at Toledo, Ohio, to Eugene Cope, who preceded her in death on January 4, 2013. Mrs. Cope worked as a nurse at National Health Care for twenty-five years, having retired November 3, 2003; she loved being a nurse. She enjoyed reading, dancing, singing and watching her show. Katy was a selfless woman and loved her family.
She is survived by four children, Robert Shelton, Decatur, Alabama, Samuel Shelton and wife, Crystal, West Plains, Gina Phol and husband, Leroy, Oakland, Wisconsin and Ronald Cope, Panama City, Florida; seven grandchildren, Misty Morris and husband, Eddie, Lila Williams and husband, Blaine, Marriya Toten and husband, Marty, Christopher Shelton and wife, Casey, Shawn Shelton and wife, Molly, Jacob Shelton and wife, Heather and Samantha Shelton; ten great-grandchildren, Cody McCormack and wife, Cheyenne, Kiara Murphy and husband, Matt, Tristan Morris, Ethan Wake, and wife, Gracy, Elizabeth Williams, Hannah Morris, Annie Wake, Cody Toten and wife, Emily, Buddy Shelton and Eleanor Kent; one sister, Dina Rehahn, Lancing, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews .
Her parents, husband and one sister, Mavis Vanover , preceded her in death.
Visitation service will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., Sunday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the South Fork Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to South Fork Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO 65775.

I’m so sorry to hear this, Aunt Lila was always a beautiful lady and people use to say I looked like her~ She was very special to me when we lived in Florida together and the many many memories I will cherish forever ~ She will always hold a special place in my heart ~ Rest easy Aunt Lila until we meet again !
