Funeral services for Kenneth Leo Green, 91, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Green passed away at 6:28 a.m., Saturday, April 30, 2022, at NHC Healthcare.
He was born September 12, 1930, at Peace Valley, Missouri, to Thurlow E. Green and Mae Catherine Green. Kenneth was a Veteran, having served in the United States Army, 42nd engineers during the Korean conflict. After being discharged from the Army, Kenneth began working at the International Shoe Factory, where he was employed for thirty-eight years. During this time, he met and married Earnie Evalee Blair; they were married on May 8, 1954. They were married for thirty-nine years, until her passing in 1993. To their union, three sons were born, Dwayne, Ronnie and Roger. On March 9, 1996, he was married at Springfield, Missouri, to Betty Jo Cook Carter. They enjoyed twenty-six wonderful years of laughter and spending time with family and friends sharing lots of stories. Kenneth enjoyed fishing, coon and squirrel hunting; he loved catching fish at Bennett Pond. He walked many miles as a child and young man through the woods of Fanchon and Thomasville, Missouri. Mr. Green was a Christian with membership at Curry Street Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Green; three children, Dwayne Green and wife, Janetta, Ronnie Green and wife, Kathy and Roger Green and wife, Wendy; five grandchildren, Brent Green and wife, Dedra, Stephen Green, Brad Green and wife, Rachel, Kristi Halseth and husband, Brian and Jeff Strong and wife, Beth; and four great-grandchildren, Kaetlin Halseth, Molly Halseth, Cayden Green and Veyda Green.
His parents, first wife, two sisters, Judy Lawson and Dorothy Burgess and one nephew, David Lawson, preceded him in death.
Mr. Green will lie in state from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday and Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday at the Langston Street Chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery.

Our Deepest Condolences to all of you on the passing of Kenneth. He was wonderful Christian Gentleman and always had a wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed.
