Laverna Mary “June” Ford

Funeral services for Laverna Mary June Ford, 82, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 30, 2015, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ford died at 9:45 a.m., Friday, March 27, 2015, at NHC Healthcare.

She was born June 25, 1932, at Thomasville, Missouri, to Ogle Tharp Judd and Olive Marie Bay Judd. On May 17, 1949, she was married at Pocahontas, Arkansas, to David Foriest Ford. Mrs. Ford was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, flowers and crafts.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, David Ford, of the family home; five children, Leon Ford, wife, Vicky, West Plains, Victoria Hansen, West Plains, David V. Ford, West Plains, Doris Collins, husband, James, Peace Valley, Missouri and Donna Ford, Peace Valley, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Amy Wood, husband, Chris, Anna Bayona, husband, Michael, Regina Pickett, husband, Neal, Jennifer Edgeller, husband, John, Ashley Fugate, husband Torey, Jason Mizell, Brandi Ford, Kenny Grisham, wife, Carrie, Paul Grisham, wife, Amanda and Benny Grogan, wife, Tiffany; eight great-grandchildren, Zachary Wood, Samuel Wood, Nicole Hergesheimer, Chyenna Pickett, Jasmine Pickett, Nathan Pickett, John David Edgeller and Jeffrey Edgeller; three sisters, Joyce Gualundi, Mendota, Illinois, Dolly Wadlow, husband, James, West Plains and Eva Carolyn Judd, West Plains; and two sisters-in-law, Vida Hall and Mable Judd, both of West Plains.

Her parents, one infant granddaughter, Christy Dawn Mizell, three brothers, Lon, Lynn and Melvin Judd, one sister, Lela Gilbert and one sister-in-law, Elsie Judd, precede her in death.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Sunday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Burial will be at the New Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Susan Komen Breast Cancer Research or New Hope Cemetery, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
