In the late 50s I shared a few years of ministry with Pastor Lawrence at Van Buren, Mo when he Pastored at the Assembly of God. He and his family were a spiritual blessing to me.
We also shared time fishing for fish.
Helen and I shared Thanksgiving dinner with he and Violet in 2001.
We use to keep in touch with them by regular mail and he let us know that Sis Lawrence was very bad. I knew he was grieving for her but I advised him to tell her “It is okay to go on home now.” He did and a short time after she did.
We visited him from 1998 until the last time last year. We sadly saw his health declining through the years. We had our final visit with him in 2010. Thurl and Sue kept us up to date until the end.
Pastor Lawrence, you have left us in this world but you shall always be in my mind.
Thank God for you and your ministry.
