L. J. passed away July 10, 2013 near his home in Caulfield, Missouri. He was born April 1, 1979 in West Plains, Missouri, the son of Leland and Vicki Tackitt. L. J. attended the Richards School and graduated from the West Plains High School with the Class of 1997. He was a conductor for Burlington Northern Railroad and a farmer. L. He was always an “Old Soul” and believed in helping his neighbors. He loved his neighbors, their children and thought of them as family. He loved his friends and was always there for them. L. J. was a member of the Railroad Teamster’s Union and the Masonic Lodge at Bakersfield, Missouri. He became a Christian at an early age and believed that you could not out give God. My sympathy is with all his family at this time. “LJ” introduced himself to me some years ago and always remained true to his word. He would come by with a smile on his face and was always willing to help. He will be missed by many I know. For myself I will always remember his kindness and his desire to help others.

Dear Tackitt Family,
My regards pour out for your family. I met LJ in Tennessee we were only friends for a short time but this was a great man and a tragic loss for from what I heard a great family. We worked for for the same railroad but different locations. LJ and I shared a many a good laugh together, we even exclaimed that we had laughed harder than we ever had before, even shared a little trouble as well. We had planned a hog hunting trip for once I arrived home back in Texas, were once again he would have graced me with his nothing short of awesome personality. Truly sad, for my friend, brother and a flat out outstanding man…
With Love, Robert L Mckenzie Jr.
