Lois Darlene Young

Graveside services for Lois Darlene Young, 86, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at Elk Creek Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Young died at 4:20 p.m., Thursday, August 8, 2013, at West Vue Nursing Center.

She was born January 30, 1927, at Highmore, South Dakota, to Otto and Leona Palmer Miessner.  She was married to Wayne F. Becker, and to this union were three children, Carla, Sandra and Cheri; she was also married to Maynard Young.  She was a member of VFW Auxiliary and a gospel singing group of West Plains that sung at the area nursing homes.  Mrs. Young was a Christian and a member of Victoria Mission Church.

She is survived by three children, Carla Collins, husband, Jerry, West Plains, Missouri, Sandra Mischenko, husband, Andy, Talkeetna, Alaska and Cheri Harris-Aldrich, husband, Ronald, Cabool, Missouri; eleven grandchildren, Michael Linscheid, wife, Madrin, Jeremy Linscheid, Craig Mischenko, wife, Grace, Brennan Mischenko, Garrett Mischenko, wife, Noelle, Katrina Sloan, husband, Daniel, Heidi Hayes, husband, Lee, Jeremiah Roesch, wife, Liz, Uriah Harris, fiancee’, Shanese, Josiah Harris, wife, Sofia and Jerina Collins; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Her parents, husbands, one brother and one sister, precede her in death.

Visitation will be from 11:00 until 12:00 noon Wednesday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
