Funeral services for Lue Ella Hunter, 91, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 23, 2021 at the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hunter passed away at 1:48 p.m., Sunday, April 18, 2021, at Ozarks Medical Center.
She was born March 25, 1930, at Cureall, Missouri, to Claude Belcher and Susan Almira Walker Belcher. On March 15, 1946, she was married at West Plains, to William Thomas Henry, who preceded her in death on March 21, 1985. On December 12, 1997, she was married at West Plains, to Kenneth Norman Hunter, who preceded her in death on October 4, 2011. Before her retirement, Mrs. Hunter worked at the International Shoe Factory. Lue never met a stranger; she wanted to help anyone in need and she did. Everyone loved her. She was everyone’s Aunt Lue! She enjoyed flowers of all kinds and dancing. Lue loved her family and her dog, Benji.
She is survived by two sisters, Mary (Anna Bell) Gibson, Harrison, Arkansas and Ruth Wood, West Plains; and several special nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husbands, one sister, Laverne Palmer and one brother, Ray Belcher, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., Friday, at the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Gospel Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO 65775.

Ms. Ruth Wood and Mary Ann Gibson,
We want to extend our deepest sympathy to all of you on the passing of Lue. During this difficult time all of you will be in our daily prayers/thoughts and may God encourage, strengthen, comfort, and give all of you peace. Lue was a Wonderful neighbor…always smiling, visiting, and waving as she went by through the neighborhood. We will miss her greatly! May God bless all of you.

Pat, George, and all of Lue’s family; we are so sorry to hear of her passing. She was a beautiful and wonderful lady, and I am so glad that I had the honor of getting to know her. God bless and comfort you all. I know she loved her family dearly.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed meeting Aunt Lue and seeing her post-it notes and flowers that she left for you!
