Louise Harris

Funeral services for Louise Harris, 93, Cape Girardeau, Missouri, formerly of West Plains, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 14, 2025, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Harris passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025, at The Chateau, Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
She was born August 17, 1931, at Hand, Arkansas, to Russell Hand and Bessie Hicks Hand. On August 15, 1953, she was married at Mountain Home, Arkansas to Earl J. (Porky) Harris, who preceded her in death on July 6, 1996. Before her retirement, Mrs. Harris was a second grade teacher; she also worked with her husband for many years as the owners of CC Wood Treating. She enjoyed reading, fishing, cooking and sewing. Louise loved her family dearly. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her son, Gary Harris and wife, Teresha, Dexter, Missouri; one grandson, Matthew Harris and wife, Bethany, Dexter, Missouri; five great-grandchildren, Teagyn, Lynnlee, Duke, Grady and Whitten Harris; one niece and one nephew.
Her parents, husband, one brother and one sister, preceded her in death.
Visitation services will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., Friday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO 65775.

My condolences to all of you on the passing of Louise. I am glad we got to see her and reconnect in Branson several years ago at my mother’s, birthday. Judy and Louise enjoyed being together.

I have fond memories of cousin Louise. Last time I saw her was several years ago at Branson. Such a nice lady. My deepest sympathy
