Louise Morris
Graveside services for Louise Juanita “Lou” Morris, 75, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 4, 2015, at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Morris died at 4:40 p.m., Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at Brooke Haven Health Care.
She was born June 27, 1940, in Ozark County, Missouri, to Orville Lee Gunter and Ethel Mettie Collins Gunter. She graduated from West Plains High School. On September 5, 1990, Mrs. Morris retired after thirty years of service as a supervisor at Western Electric. She was a member of Communication Workers of America and after retirement, worked as a manager of VFW Post 5789, Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
She is survived by one son, Gary Dale Morris, Lee’s Summit, Missouri; two step-daughters, Joanne Mossie, Kansas City, Missouri and Linda Mossie, Greensboro, North Carolina; one grandson; three brothers, Norman Gunter, wife, Betty, Bill Gunter, wife Evalee and Bob Gunter, wife, Barbara, all of West Plains; three sisters, Barbara Gunter, West Plains, Janet Jeffery, husband, Wendell and Joyce Crawford, husband, Bob, all of Springfield, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Her parents, husband, Marvin Morris and two sisters, Lucille and Anna, precede her in death.
Mrs. Morris will lie in state from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. Thursday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
