Louise “Honey” Stark
All family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life for Louise “Honey” Stark, 82, Bakersfield, Missouri, to be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 6, 2012, at her home in Bakersfield, Missouri.
Mrs. Stark went to meet her Lord at 7:09 p.m., Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at her home.
She was born October 2, 1929, in Poinsette County, Arkansas, to Cecil and Malinda Brinkley White. On December 22, 1948, she was married at Craighead County, Arkansas, to her husband of forty-eight years, William H. Stark, who preceded her in death on May 10, 1986. Mrs. Stark was a beloved friend, mother and grandmother and before her retirement, she was a kindergarten teacher and was a member of the Missouri State Teacher’s Association. She was a gardener and was a master quilter having been a member of two Quilters Associations in Bakersfield. Mrs. Stark held a Bachelor’s degree having attended Crowder College, Arkansas State University, SMSU and Missouri Southern College. She served as chairman and was instrumental in the founding in this area of the Military Widowed Wives Group. Mrs. Stark was a lifelong Baptist and a member of the Bakersfield First Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher.
She is survived by two children, Diane Scherff, husband, Ronnie and William H. Stark, wife, Barbara, all of Caulfield, Missouri; six grandchildren, Mike Scherff, wife, Andrea, their son, Lane, West Plains, Missouri, Amy Ross, husband, John, their children, Kaitlin and Dalton, Caulfield, Missouri, Casey Musser, her children, Sarah and Aaron, Springfield, Missouri, Rusty Stark, wife, Kelly, their son Gavin, Springfield, Missouri, Jessica Collins, husband, John, their children, Rorie, Chase and Isaac, Caulfield, Missouri and Joanna Myers, husband, Keith, their daughter, Evy, West Plains, Missouri; two brothers, James Edward White, wife, Kathy, Harrisburg, Arkansas and Garland White, Bay, Arkansas; two sisters, Jo Ann White, husband, Rick, Bono, Arkansas and Martha Jane Bell, of the State of Nebraska; special daughter-in-law, Susan Stark, Mt. Vernon, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her parents, husband and one grandson, precede her in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bakersfield First Baptist Church, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
