Graveside services for Mahlon Grant Little, 88, Branson, Missouri, formerly of West Plains, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Howell Valley Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Little passed away at 4:00 a.m., Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Cox South, Springfield, Missouri.
He was born January 31, 1934, in Burlingame, Kansas, to Job and Iva Little. He was the twelfth of thirteen children. On March 9, 1953, he was married at Salem, Arkansas, to Peggy Lou Myers, who preceded him in death on July 20, 2018. They celebrated 65 wonderful years. Mahlon is a veteran of the Korean War. He served honorably as a Sergeant in the United States Marines, earning a Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and a Good Conduct Medal. Mahlon was a patient man with kind words who led by example. Red, white and blue were prominent throughout his life. He was an admirable husband and loving father. He will be missed by many.
He is survived by his daughter, Christy Penninger and son-in-law Bob of Springfield, Missouri; his son, Mahlon G. Little II and daughter-in-law Jane of Ruston, Louisiana; and his grandchildren, Montana and Connor Little.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and all twelve siblings.
Memorial contributions may be made to Tunnels to Towers organization and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO 65775.

The statement, “Mahlon was a patient man with kind words who led by example” certainly describes the friend and neighbor we knew! It was a privilege to have known and counted him and Peggy as friends for many years. Our condolences to Mahlon’s family.

The Little Families,
My parents, Norris and Ivene Cozort, wanted me to extend their Deepest Sympathy to all of you on the passing of Mahlon. They were neighbors to your parents and so very sad for his passing. Christy and Mahlon – I was sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. My dad, Mickey Horsman, worked with him for several years in the bread business. My dad thought very highly of him and considered him a good friend. He was a kind man, and I know you will miss him dearly.
