Ms. Kesling passed away at 8:35 p.m., Sunday, July 16, 2023.
One of six children, she was born May 30, 1938, at Moline, Illinois, to Basil and Grace Parris. Marge loved to travel and to experience new locations in the USA and abroad. She was an avid reader who started her day at home with a coffee in the morning and Chips Ahoy with a glass of milk in the evening. Marge retired as office manager from Great Rivers Distributing in West Plains. She was involved in numerous national, state, and local organizations in the West Plains area, most recently with Toys for Tots and the Greater Ozarks Marine Corps League. Lovingly nicknamed ‘Marge the Sarge’, she was very detail-oriented and well organized in everything she did.
She is survived by four children, Sharon Thomas and husband, Bill, Loveland, Colorado, Clyde Kesling and wife, Sally, McKinney, Texas, Jim Kesling and wife, Shanna, Caulfield, Missouri, and Mike Kesling and wife, Abby, Shawnee, Kansas; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one brother, Basil Parris, Gainseville, Missouri.
Her parents, one daughter, Tracy King, one grandson, Bradley King, one sister, Dorothy Parris, and three brothers, Albert LeRoy Parris, Danny Parris, and Norman (Butch) Parris, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO 65775.

To all the Kesling family: I am so blessed to have had Marge in my life since 1986, she is the first person I met when we moved here. Also, I have had the pleasure of getting to meet all of her family. I will miss her infectious smile and laugh, but she is in a better place. She also had a very giving and caring heart, one memory I will always cherish is when she drove to Kansas (a 9-hour drive) and picked up my mom and brought her to Kansas City so my mom and I could go see Il Divo in concert. My prayers are for all the Kesling family to have comfort with the passing of this wonderful lady.
Love

Sending Healing light and energy to all of my cousins on the loss of their mom to help you through this difficult time. Aunt Marge led a full life and I know how much you will miss her. I’m sorry we can’t make the funeral but know you are in my thoughts.

We are so sorry for the entire family to lose such a strong woman. Dan and I met Marge before we met her grandson and our wonderful son-in-law Donnie. Marge was a strong, lovely, friendly, family oriented woman who will be sorely missed in the family. We rejoice in the knowledge she will be with her lovely daughter Tracy and her grandson Brad. My prayers for all Marge’s family. Marge was my best friend since 1971.
My children and I made a trip to see her in Michigan in 1973. We had lots of fun together. She has visited me as well many times. We’ve had lots of laughter but also tears.
Marge was a special lady. She will be missed by all.
She will forever be in my heart.
